On behalf of Peter Hopkins, FRACP, President of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, the ISHLT Board of Directors, and the ISHLT2027 Scientific Program Committee, I am pleased to invite you to submit your research for presentation at the 47th ISHLT Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions, taking place 14-17 April 2027 at the International Convention Centre Sydney in Sydney, NSW Australia.

As ISHLT gathers in the Southern Hemisphere for the first time, ISHLT2027 in Sydney, Australia will be a landmark opportunity to expand our global reach, highlight exceptional science from the Asia-Pacific region and around the world, and welcome many colleagues to the ISHLT Annual Meeting for the very first time.

We especially encourage junior faculty, trainees, first-time submitters, and individuals from underrepresented regions to submit their scientific abstracts. With your scientific contributions and global perspectives, ISHLT2027 will inspire, connect, and showcase the very best of our international community.

This year’s meeting includes two exciting new enhancements that provide greater flexibility and broader opportunities for engagement. Abstract submitters who are unable to travel to Sydney can still be involved by submitting an ePoster (electronic poster). Also, Clinical Case Reports, which were previously limited to only early career professionals, are now open to all submitters regardless of career stage. Early career professionals and trainees will continue to be eligible for the Early Career Award, which recognizes outstanding Clinical Case Reports by these individuals.

We also invite late-breaking clinical trial submissions, which play a critical role in showcasing high-impact findings and fostering lively scientific dialogue at the meeting.
