Help Shape ISHLT’s Proactive Advocacy Priorities

ISHLT is seeking suggestions for proactive advocacy issues that align with our mission and strategic priorities, address meaningful needs for patients, members, or the field, and offer a realistic opportunity for ISHLT to make measurable progress through sustained, multi-year collaboration with relevant stakeholders and partners.

Suggest an Advocacy Priority Additional Details

Because ISHLT has limited capacity, not every suggestion can be pursued. The Advocacy Committee will evaluate submissions through an established Decision Framework and recommend Priority Issues for Board consideration. Approved issues will then move into a strategy development phase, with implementation anticipated to begin in late 2027.

The Advocacy Committee improves access to care and patient outcomes by advancing ISHLT’s role as a trusted, globally relevant voice on policy and practice in advanced heart and lung disease. The committee proactively identifies and advances high-impact priorities through partnerships and coalition work, while responding selectively to incoming advocacy requests aligned with the Society’s mission.

OPTN Comment Library
