Scientific Program
The Scientific Sessions at the ISHLT Annual Meetings highlight the diverse multidisciplinary nature of ISHLT, showcasing the latest scientific breakthroughs and pioneering research presentations, alongside engaging symposia sessions covering globally relevant topics of interest.
The Scientific Program unfolds across two main sections—Symposia and Abstracts—each organized to deliver enriching educational experiences to attendees.
Symposia Sessions
- Submitted by ISHLT members in June, these sessions undergo a rigorous peer review process in July, conducted by volunteers from our ten Professional Communities.
- Throughout August and September, our dedicated Program Planning Committee carefully evaluates, selects, and refines the most compelling symposia sessions for inclusion.
- In early December the Preliminary Program, featuring detailed information on symposia and general sessions, goes live online.
Key Dates
Abstract Sessions
The ISHLT2026 abstract submission site is now open!
- From August to mid-October, our Abstract Submission site welcomes submissions from both members and non-members alike.
- Submitted abstracts undergo thorough peer review from late October to early November.
- In November and December, our Program Planning Committee reconvenes to evaluate and select the best abstracts for presentation in oral, mini oral, and poster sessions.
