ISHLT's 10 Professional Communities are the place to connect with others in your professional specialty. Network, provide mentorship, share expertise, and advance knowledge with peers who do the same kind of work as you.

The four ISHLT Interdisciplinary Networks (IDNs) represent the core therapies and diseases our members are dedicated to treating. The IDNs are made up of members from the Professional Communities and represent all of the different specialties dedicated to treating a specific kind of patient.

ISHLT Governance and Leadership

ISHLT is led by a Board of Directors, supported by an Executive Committee, a Governance Committee, and a Finance Committee. The operations of the three main pillars of the Society are governed by three Oversight Committees, and the interests of the four major practice areas of the Society are led by the Interdisciplinary Network Steering Committees.

ISHLT members participate in a variety of committees and task forces to coordinate the Society's efforts towards fulfilling its mission.

 Volunteer Portal

ISHLT offers opportunities for members to contribute and engage with colleagues around the globe by serving on a committee. Volunteers make connections and work alongside other members and leaders across the field of advanced heart and lung disease while developing leadership skills.

 

ISHLT accepts submissions of interest to volunteer throughout the year for particular projects, and in September of each calendar year.
