Deadline for submission in all areas is Tuesday, 14 October at 11:59 p.m. ET / Wednesday, 15 October at 3:59 UTC.
Submitted abstracts can be edited until the deadline.

Abstract submission for ISHLT2026 is now closed.

The U.S. government shutdown has disrupted access to UNOS/HRSA data, causing delays and possible unavailability.

Submitters who contacted Susie Newton and received confirmation before the submission deadline, will be sent instructions for completing their submission once the U.S. government reopens.

Notification of Acceptance or Rejection

  • 19 December, 2025: Presenting Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection, including presentation format (oral, mini oral, or poster) and should notify their co-authors.
  • 5 January, 2026: Presenting Authors of accepted abstracts will receive a presentation invitation with their session assignment, presentation date, and time.
    • Presenters will have until 30 January to confirm or withdraw the presentation, or to change the presenting author to another co-author listed on the abstract.
    • Presenting Authors must register for and attend the Annual Meeting in person. Registration fees are not waived.

Abstract Publication

All accepted abstracts will be published as submitted in the Online Program Viewer on 1 March, and in the April 2026 Abstract Supplement of The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
