Call for ISHLT2026 Symposium Proposals
The submission site will open on Monday, 2 June, 2025, and the deadline for all proposals is Monday, 23 June, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern/13:00 UTC. A link to the submission site will be emailed to all ISHLT members on 2 June.
On behalf of the ISHLT2026 Scientific Program Chair Caroline Patterson, BMBS, BMedSci, MD and the Program Planning Committee, the ISHLT invites all members to submit symposium proposals for consideration to the ISHLT2025 Annual Meeting
and Scientific Sessions. Download the ISHLT2026 Symposium Proposal Submission Guide which contains everything
you need to guide you through the proposal preparation and submission process. Your contributions as an ISHLT member are invaluable, and we're grateful for your input in shaping the scientific content for ISHLT2026.
Symposia Sessions at ISHLT2026
ISHLT2026 will feature a wide range of dynamic symposia showcasing the Society’s interdisciplinary focus and encouraging collaboration among our Professional Communities (PCs) and Interdisciplinary Networks (IDNs) to represent the full breadth of ISHLT’s diverse membership.
Eligible: All ISHLT members who are not owners or employees of ACCME-defined ineligible companies.
Ineligible: Non-members and ISHLT members who are owners or employees of ineligible companies. To ensure fairness and impartiality in the selection process, members of the ISHLT2026 Program Committee will not develop content or submit proposals.
- Log on to the OASIS Symposium Proposal Submission Site using the link emailed to you or via the link posted in the ISHLTconnect Open Forum of ISHLTconnect.
- Submission Period: 2 – 23 June
- Submission Deadline: Monday, 23 June at 9:00 a.m. ET / 13:00 UTC.
Follow these steps for selecting relevant, compelling content:
- Review the ISHLT CME Mission Statement below for guidance. Aligning your proposal with its components can strengthen its relevance to the Society’s goals.
- Explore the Curated Topics Lists. These are organized by IDN based on feedback from theISHLT2025 Annual Meeting Evaluation Survey, and can be used to align your proposal with the community’scurrent interests and priorities.
- Join collaborative discussions on the PC and IDN forums via ISHLTconnect, and consult the appropriate IDN Steering Committee for input before submitting. They can help identify and prioritize relevant topics.
ISHLT CME Mission Statement
- Conduct programs which enable our members to learn about new developments, current practices, emerging technologies, and medical advances related to advanced heart and lung disease and transplantation.
- Provide forums for examination, discussion, and debate regarding the efficacy and applicability of these current practices, emerging technologies, and medical advances.
- Conduct programs which, through their breadth and depth of offerings, provide comprehensive coverage of the multifaceted, multidisciplinary field of end-stage heart and lung disease and transplantation.
CME Content Oversight and Submission Integrity
ISHLT is accredited by the ACCME as a provider of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit. The Annual Meeting Program Committee is responsible for determining what
content will be included in all portions of the Scientific Program where CME is offered. Contacting any member of the Program Committee to influence decision-making or inquire as to the status of a submission is strictly prohibited and may result in repercussions.
