LAST CALL: ISHLT2026 Abstract Submissions
The ISHLT2026 Call for Abstracts submission site closes next week. Don’t delay – submit your best science in advanced heart and lung failure and transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, and pulmonary vascular disease by Tuesday, 14 October at 11:59 p.m. ET/Wednesday, 15 October at 03:59 UTC.
Submissions are accepted in three areas:
Review the Abstract Submission Policies before submitting your abstract. For questions regarding tables, images and character limits, as well as who to contact for technical support or general submission questions, check out our Abstract FAQ.
Presenting authors of submitted abstracts will receive a status notification of acceptance or rejection in December 2025. It will be the responsibility of the presenting author to notify all co-authors regarding the status.

Notice for U.S.-based Researchers:
The U.S. government shutdown has disrupted access to UNOS/HRSA data, causing delays and possible unavailability.
For U.S.-based researchers who cannot access U.S.-specific transplant data at this time, ISHLT will allow a two-part abstract submission. To take advantage of this option, follow these two steps:
- Notify Susie Newton by email at susie.newton@ishlt.org.
- Submit a paid abstract that will act as a placeholder by the submission deadline.
ISHLT staff will contact affected abstract submitters with instructions for completing your submission once the U.S. government reopens.
