The help desk is open today from 7:00 – 11:00 a.m.

GENERAL SESSION III
9:30 – 11:00 a.m. | Veterans Memorial Auditorium, Level 2
The General Session III will feature a patient’s perspective of a long-term heart-lung transplantation from Tineke Dixon, PhD. The sessions will also include the ISHLT Awards Presentation, a Featured Abstract presentation, and the highly anticipated President’s Debate, where Andreas Zuckermann, MD and Shelley Hall, MD will face off on whether or not artificial intelligence should be used for donor organ selection for transplantation.



Additional seating will be available on Level 3.


2025 ISHLT AWARDS PRESENTATION
Part of General Session III
Join ISHLT Grants Committee Chair Tereza Martinu, MD, MHS for the ISHLT 2025 Awards Presentation as she recognizes the recipients of 2024 and 2025 Research Grants and the 2025 Mentorship Award. She will also announce the recipeints of the Challenge Grant and Abstract Awards, the finalists for which presented earlier this week here in Boston.
During the presentation, ISHLT will also honor Stuart Sweet, MD, PhD as the 2025 recipient of the Amanda W. Rowe Distinguished Service Award. This award focuses on the non-scientific contributions to ISHLT as an organization and aims to recognize individuals for sustained, significant and outstanding service to ISHLT and the advancement of its mission.
