ISHLT Pharmacy & Infectious Diseases Academy: From Pathogens to Pharmacokinetics - Optimizing Outcomes in Thoracic Transplant

This immersive one-day workshop is for transplant clinicians, pharmacists, and specialists on care teams treating infectious diseases in heart and lung transplant patients. The session will feature discussions on immunologic complications in transplant, optimizing therapies, evaluating infectious risk, vaccines, peri-transplant prophylaxis, and molecular diagnostics.

ISHLT Thoracic Recovery Course

This comprehensive, hands-on training course is designed for cardiothoracic surgery trainees interested in a unique experience. Combining expert-led lectures and hands-on practical training performing thoracic organ retrieval from both DBD and DCD models, the program will enhance participants’ proficiency in donor organ recovery, ex-situ preservation, and transplantation decision-making.
