Important Travel Information for ISHLT2026
The ISHLT’s 46th Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions will take place in Toronto, ON Canada in April 2026. If you plan to attend ISHLT2026, please review the following important travel information and take any necessary next steps to ensure you’ll be able to join in Toronto.
Business Visitors & Visa Information

Visit the Travel and identification documents for entering Canada page for information on the documentation needed to travel to Canada. NOTE: Most travelers will need either a Visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada.
To apply for a Visa or eTA, visit the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) page.
NOTE: A Special Event Code from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is required to complete the Visa application. This code can only be provided to those with fully paid, confirmed registration. Registration for the meeting will open in December 2025. For additional information on obtaining the event code please contact ISHLT Customer Support at support@ishlt.org.
Visa applications must be submitted 3 months prior to your travel date; however, applying earlier is strongly recommended. Therefore, those needing a Visa should register for ISHLT2026 early to allow adequate time for their Special Event Code to be provided.
