ISHLT Welcomes Nikki Shanks as ISHLT Director of Member Engagement & Governance
ISHLT is pleased to welcome Nikki Shanks, MBA, CAE as Director of Member Engagement and Governance. In this role, Nikki will lead the Society’s efforts to grow and engage its global membership while ensuring effective support for governance operations.
Nikki has more than a decade of experience in association management, demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting mission-driven organizations. Prior to ISHLT, Nikki served as Senior Manager, Component Relations for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), where she led engagement across a large network of membership subgroups and modernized volunteer programs.
Nikki received a Master of Business Administration from Benedictine University and resides in Safety Harbor, Florida. Known for blending data-driven insights and collaboration, Nikki designs inclusive strategies that empower communities and elevate organizational impact. She is thrilled to bring this expertise to ISHLT.
