ISHLT2025 Attendees Give Back to Boston Children in Need
At the 45th Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions, ISHLT continued its social responsibility efforts to increase the positive impact the Society makes on host cities during its events. At ISHLT2025, ISHLT collaborated with Cradles to Crayons®, a nonprofit in Newton, MA USA providing kids with free essentials. ISHLT attendees made more than 350 donations of clothing for kids in need in the greater Boston area.
More than 1 in 3 children in Massachusetts children aged 12 and younger live in low-income or homeless situations and are at risk of clothing insecurity. Cradles to Crayons® believes that all children deserve the essentials they need to feel safe, warm, ready to learn, and valued. Cradles to Crayons® collects and distributes new and high-quality used children’s goods to children living in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need to thrive—at home, at school, and at play—for free.
