Look Back at ISHLT2025
The ISHLT’s 45th Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions featured multidisciplinary science and global collaboration. This was the largest ISHLT Annual Meeting ever, where over 4,500 attendees gathered in Boston, MA USA to share the latest research and work to transform care and outcomes for people with advanced heart and lung disease.
The ISHLT2025 general sessions highlighted excellence in the ISHLT community and provided diverse, global perspectives on innovative solutions to providing affordable therapies, enhancing organ donation expansion, and the patient journey.
ISHLT leadership also unveiled the Society’s new strategic plan which places greater emphasis on global equity, cross-disciplinary innovation, and measurable impact.
ISHLT recognized outstanding achievements through the ISHLT2025 Awards Presentation including 2025 Amanda W. Rowe Distinguished Service Award recipient Stuart C. Sweet, MD, PhD. The life and legacy of 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Allan Glanville, MBBS, MD, FRACP was honored in a heartfelt tribute.

This annual gathering is a unique opportunity for the global community to share scientific progress, spark curiosity, renew friendships, and expand networks to include new contributors to the fields of advanced heart and lung disease. Mark your calendars for ISHLT2026 which will be held in at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, ON Canada Wednesday, 22 April – Saturday, 25 April, 2026. The Pre-Conference Day will take place on Tuesday, 21 April, 2026.
