Look Back at ISHLT2026

The ISHLT’s 46th Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions featured multidisciplinary science and global collaboration. Over 4,200 attendees gathered in Toronto, ON Canada to share the latest research and work to transform care and outcomes for people with advanced heart and lung disease.
The ISHLT2026 general sessions highlighted excellence in the ISHLT community and provided diverse, global perspectives on transplant access, organ donation awareness, and future innovations and considerations of transplantation and regenerative science.

ISHLT recognized outstanding achievements through the ISHLT2026 Awards Presentation including 2026 Amanda W. Rowe Distinguished Service Award recipient Robert L. Kormos, MD, FRCS(C), FACS. The 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient John Dark, MD, FRCS gave an important address encouraging practitioners to learn from history.
