The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation has an Impact Factor of 7.865 and is ranked 1st of 26 journals in Transplantation category, 4th out of 204 journals in the Surgery category, 7th out of 53 journals in the Respiratory System category, and 13th of 125 journals in Cardiac and Cardiovascular Systems category in the 2019 Journal Citation Reports®, published by Thomson Reuters.

JHLT COI POLICY
In order to ensure and protect the integrity of the JHLT, the ISHLT has developed Policies and Procedures on COI as it applies to the JHLT, its Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editors, Section Editors, and Editorial Board members/Reviewers, as well as authors of manuscripts submitted to JHLT for consideration for publication. This policy is based upon the foundational work of The International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), which updated its Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals in December 2019. Further guidance came from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All individuals who serve in an authorial, editorial, or review capacity for the JHLT must agree to adhere to these policies.
