About ISHLT
Who is ISHLT?

ISHLT is a multinational, multidisciplinary mix of more than 3,400 members from over 45 countries, representing over 15 different professional disciplines involved in the management and treatment of advanced heart and lung disease, including transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, and pulmonary vascular disease.

Members include anesthesiologists, basic scientists, cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, ethicists, immunologists, nurses, pathologists, perfusionists, pharmacists, pulmonologists, tissue engineers, transplant coordinators, and infectious disease specialists. Despite their differing specializations, all ISHLT members share a common dedication to the advancement of the science and treatment of end-stage heart and lung disease.

Membership Categories

Your ISHLT membership tier is determined by your type of membership— Physician, Non-Physician, or Trainee —and fees are assessed based on the economy of the country you live or practice in, as defined by  The World Bank.

Physician and Non-Physician members all receive the same member benefits. Members of either category may also vote, hold office, and serve on committees.

Member Pricing Tiers

In order to remove financial barriers to participation for all segments of the international, multidisciplinary ISHLT community, ISHLT has introduced a tiered dues structure. The membership dues structure includes distinct pricing for physicians, non-physicians, and trainees, with tiered pricing for high-, middle-, and low-income economies for each, based on World Bank economic classifications.
