A Joint Venture for Defeating Infectious Threats Post-Transplantation: Pathologists and Microbiologists Together
27 June, 2024 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDTHeart and lung transplant recipients are highly susceptible to conventional and opportunistic infections, which represent a major cause of morbidity, graft dysfunction and mortality. This session will examine the risk factors relevant to heart and lung transplant recipients, and the syndromes associated with them, such as respiratory failure, sepsis, and CNS infection.
