If your abstract was accepted for presentation at the ISHLT2020 meeting but was never presented and has not been published as a full article, you may resubmit your abstract for consideration to the ISHLT2021 Annual Meeting. This applies to any type of abstract: Research, Late-Breaking, or Early Career Clinical Case Reports.
The submission system is very simple and step-by-step instructions on the site will guide you through the submission process. Follow the instructions on the login page of the Abstract Submission Site to begin.
The abstract submission fee is $25 USD per abstract (non-refundable).
No. Submission of the same abstract into different categories is not permitted. Submission of one study as several different abstracts is also not permitted. If the abstracts in question are not different enough to be considered separate studies, or if the same abstract is submitted into multiple categories, all versions may be rejected.
The deadline for abstract submission is October 27, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (North America).

The character limit for an abstract is 2,140 characters (spaces are ignored). This count includes characters in the following: Abstract Title, Abstract Body (including the default headings), Table(s), and Image(s). Author names and institutions are not counted. A table or image will remove 320 characters from the character limit. (Note: the amount of data in the table does not make a difference to the character count.) An image file size cannot exceed 10MB.
No, there is no limit to the number of authors listed on an abstract.
BMP, GIF, JPG, and PNG formatted graphic files can be uploaded during abstract submission.

You can edit your abstract (even after paying the submission fee) until the deadline of October 27, 2020. After this deadline, abstracts cannot be edited.
Individuals in the early stages of their careers (whose professional training was completed five or less years ago) and trainees are eligible to submit case reports. Visit our Early Career Clinical Case Reports page for more information.
Confirmation emails are not sent automatically, but you can request an email confirmation of your submission by clicking the provided link after your submission is marked COMPLETE.
The person designated as the presenting author will receive a status notification of acceptance or rejection no later than December 18, 2020.
Presenting authors of accepted abstracts must register for the ISHLT 2021 Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions. Online registration opens November 2020.
No, ISHLT will not be offering Travel Grants to attend the 2021 Annual Meeting.
